REINA SOFIA
Over the next few weeks you are required to visit the Reina Sofia museum in Madrid with the primary goal of analyzing the Guernica by Pablo Picasso as well as enjoying other works of art found in the museum. Plan your visit with your friends or with your family but try to enjoy the day completing it with some other entertaining activities.
You will complete the following three tasks in your groups:
1) You will complete an analysis of the Guernica by Picasso following the steps we have utilized in class and in the other assignment of art for  the second term
2) Respond to the following questions after the analysis of the Guernica
    - Describe the figures and main elements of the painting.
    - Why is the painting in black and white?

    - Is the date of this painting important for any reason? Which one?
    - Why did it take so long for this painting to arrive to Spain?
3) Select four other paintings or sculptures in the Reina Sofia and connect them to the Guernica in any way you would like (theme, style, etc.)

Ask us for more details... and enjoy your visit
DUE DATE: Second week of May
